Today, I’ll show you a home automation device that I will install in my house and will be integrating with Amazon Alexa.

I have here the TP-link Smart Wi-Fi Light switch. Now, I went with the light switch route instead of smart plugs or even Wifi smart bulbs is that I want to use my existing lights in my living room. The main reason of this light upgrade is that when we come home at night, going in to the living room from the garage is pretty dark and we have to fumble our way in to switch on the lights.
So with this TP-Link Smart Wi-fi light switch as is, I’ll be able to remotely control my lights from an app on my phone, can set up schedules when the lights will turn on or off and it has an away mode which can automatically turn on and off my living room lights at different times giving the appearance that someone is home while we are away.
Now, integrating this with my Echo devices at home, I can use voice control to turn on and off the lights which I’ll demo later on.
