Do ordinary light dimmers and switches really deserve to become obsolete? Then when you have no access to the app or website, you cannot control the lights? Or am I just exaggerating since these smart bulbs could simply be an extension to the ordinary light switches? (where they be could be controlled in both ways)

Why do lightbulbs need to be smart? They just need to illuminate, while not using too much power. Everything else is a gimmick you can do without

Why would you want to control light bulbs when you are outside your house?
Instead of making the light bulb smart, they should make the switch smart. Light bulbs wear out but the switch lasts a long time. You could also make the switch more robust than a bulb and able to be access through your internet connection.
